Mat-Su Assembly passes Tax Cap Ordinance

Palmer--Tonight the Mat-Su Borough Assembly on a 4-3 vote passed a Tax Cap Ordinance that effectivly knocked the October election Tax Cap off the ballot.

Assemblyman Jim Colver who sponsored the Ordinance included an extra exemption in his version of the tax cap.
The tax cap that passed the assembly tonight now has two exemptions that say virtually the same thing.

Voting for the ordinance were Colver, Vehrs, Kvalheim and Woods
Colberg, Allen and Simpson voted against.
